Rubbing noise with new rim install

I just picked up some Ford probe wheels and tires off my friend, they are 16 inches, with 225 50/16 tires on them. The old wheels, (the factory sawblades) are 15's with 215 60/15 tires. The overall diamater of the tire was the same, and I don't think the wider footprint isn't hitting the shock or anything else in the wheel well. Also, the bolt pattern and offset are fine (+40, 5x4.5). The problem is that whenever the car is rolling, i can here a scraping noise, not high pitched, but definelty metal-on-metal. It increases when I turn the wheel to the right but stops when I turn it to the left. Also, I think its coming from the driver front side but I cant really tell. Any help would be much appreciated!

If you are sure that the wheels aren't scraping or rubbing your fender, I'm almost positive that you did not tighten/torque down all your lugnuts. Check that first. Loose lugnuts will cause that sound that you are describing.

Oh yeah, I did check the lugnuts, they are all tightened, and they were tightened again after 50 miles of driving, however, I had a question of the lugnuts. The factory nissan ones are very small, and when they are put in the probe wheel holes, they are a bit loose unless they are really torqued down. Should I buy new ones that are larger? Are there a special kind of lugnuts I need to get to ensure a proper fit?
