96 Suspension & car noisy when Engine off

Hi,

I do have 2 questions as I'm not specialist of Maxima. I bought a Maxima 96 a year ago and I find the car too much soft, and more and more (curves, high feeling of road imperfections...). I'm checking the tire pressure which I think is a bit under what should be but I'm wondering if the suspension are still good enough (the car is 65k miles)- Do you know what is the "standard" time to change the suspensions?

If so - do you have advice in suspension choice - I'm looking for regular suspension, between soft and firm... for short budget too

Another question about the car... I noticed, since I bought the car that after a ride, when I stop the car, turn off the engine, I can hear from outside of the car a noise, like a bunch of little "tick"... which stops after many minutes... maybe it's really normal and characteristic from the Maxima - if not, thanks to tell me what it could be...

Tx

Tire Pressure 33 - front and 29 rear.

Replacing your front struts and rear shocks will make a huge difference in the way your car rides and handles.

Tokico Blue performance struts and shocks will give you a nice smooth ride with some added handling.

KYB GR2 struts and shocks will give you a very firm sports car ride with great handling.

KYB AGX are adjustable struts and shocks that can adjust from smooth/firm to stiff/hard!

Either of the three are direct replacements for your car and will greatly improve the handling and ride. If you want that like new ride with just a little bit better handling, I suggest the Tokico Blue's. They ride really nice on a stock car.

What Tom said for the suspension, he's a guru at that.

As for the "ticks", it's normal. Just the engine cooling.
