IMO I dont think they are really nesissary since they are there to keep the wheel alligned so you can mount them straight. and no the wheel doesnt put all the load on the hub centers the weight is on the shoulders of the lug nuts.

there is a noticeable difference on occasion, I've run my other car on wheels w/o hub centric rings and I can hear noises at high speeds and a slight vibration- its a pain in the buttocks so thats why i put the rings back in

ic, but I still dont see what the purpose these rings are for other than making it easier for mounting the wheels straight which you can do without them. other than that the rings just sit in there doing nothing

using the rings got rid of alot of noise my wheels would make at 90+

these are the wheels on the red soap bar they're Carlssons custom drilled and sleeved to fit our bolt pattern and the hub size is kinda big either way they did help me eheh

so i guess for 15 bucks it couldnt hurt

but generally, a wheel would normally tighten and go on straight without the rings ..so its all good without?
thanks

yes they will bolt up fine without them. again I dont see why they would help with noise and other issues other than the fact that they somewhat help while putting wheels on. If these rings did do anything then they would have to have zero clearance between the hub center and the centerbore.

Spend the money for the rings. If they are available for your wheels, I recommend getting them. They'll get rid of some unwanted vibration at high speeds due to center mounting the wheels. Without them the tires will act sort of unbalanced.

Sup Jet! After I took my car into the shop for some servicing, I noticed a bit of vibration on the highway. When I pulled my front right wheel off, I saw a centering ring was missing. (Turns out they lost two other ones!) I got the dealership to get me replacement rings & I inserted them myself. I used a bit of clear silicone to help keep them stay in place in the rims. Having can make a difference in reducing vibrations at high speed.

What's a good source for hubcentric rings? Is there a listing of common wheels' bore size similar to the weight tables that are over the internet?? Thanks.
