I had a cai for 2 years and switched it to hybrid for about a year. Today i went back to the cold air and all i can say is damn. I miss the sound and the low end pull. I dont even notice a high end loss with it either. The only advantage i can see with a hybrid for an auto is the throttle is a little more responsive down low and its cheap. Im staying with my CAI. If you have an auto and had a cai switch back and tell me what you think.

by the way i have a PR style not injen

I actually did the opposite and went from pr cai to hybrid/stillen. With CAI I felt a big loss in high end almost as the engine needs more gas to pick up speed. Im happy with my hybrid setup right now. I do miss the sound of the CAI though

throttle response is definatly better with hybrid but i still think i get thrown back in my seat a lot more with my cai then my hybrid. the mid range is also much better with the cai but i didnt really experience any high end loss

Me too, I went from a regular pop-charger to a PR CAI, and then to a PR/Stillen Hybrid and the hybrid gave me the best times at the track. The CAI hurt my top end really bad because I have OEM fogs and there is no air hitting the filter. To each his own though.
