Not sure if this belongs here, so mods move it if you'd like....

For a few months now (maybe a year), my stock CD player has been blowing ***....For some reason, no matter what copied CD's I play in there, it'll skip for no apparent reason....Not a trace of scratches anywhere on there....It'll start to skip around track 6-10 mostly, but sometimes itll hardly work anywhere else....Anyone ever experience anything like this? I haven't played a real CD in god knows how long, so I'm not really sure if it does that with those as well...I'll try tomorrow....Is it just maybe a dirty lens? Anyone lens cleaning kits recommended?

discwasher makes a good cleaning kit, ive been using them for a while.

however, because ur problem gets worse at the end of the disk it may be a hint that its a mechanical failure instead of a dirty lens.
