Keyless entry question
Keyless entry question
Currently my aftermarket keyless entry unit is in the driver's door. Can I splice into the wires that are in the trunk that's meant for the OEM control unit? If so, is it really simple to figure out what's what?

It depends on whether your aftermarket system has the functionality (hopefully you have the manual)...
If it has the extra outputs, check www.directed.com for the wiring to splice into for the trunk release.
Good luck.

Awesome! Thanks. Do you suppose that this same wiring diagram applies to the wire harnesses that are in the trunk? I know that I can buy the oem keyless entry module off of someone on the forum, and it just plugs into a few wire harnesses in the trunk. I was thinking maybe I can tap my current keyless entry box into it. Any ideas?
