Yeah, they are both shinny.

The OBX is in two pieces and with slightly different bends. It also has two resonators and a straight through muffler. The hangers are also different. Not sure where the similarities are?

The system in the pic for the eBay action is not for a Maxima. But it does look nice, but it also looks like it would be pretty loud.

Yea really. Why do you guys like the big tipped canister look soo much? I for one can't stand it, and every time I see a fart can on a car it ruins the cars appearence, ESPECIALLY on a Maxima. Besides, who wants an exhaust system with the word "megan" on the tip?

I give two thumbs

I like the looks of that exhaust. Tip is a bit large but that's what you get when you go with a canister exhaust. Buy it now for $270 hmmm. Too bad I've already ordered exhaust, if I could be assured its not very loud (though it looks like it is) I'd probably get it.

One thing I like about the ad is they put A32 on it, which shows that they at least know what they are talking about somewhat, and they only claimed 4-6hp which is realistic rather than the typical "Gain 35-40 horsepower" crap you see on ebay. I think I'm going to shoot them an email just for the heck of it.

I just called and spoke to a guy named Eric at Megan Racing. He said they have the A32 catback in stock at this time. I may purchase it from them tomorrow if I call and find out my OBX is not yet on its way.

Really, what about the bumble bee canister is so appealing to you people?

I can't believe major enthusiasts like Nealoc are considering this fartback exhaust.

C'mon guys, leave the Coffee cans for the Honda's and get a real catback.

Easily amused Maxima enthusiasts are drawn to this catback because of it's "shine".

might be a good idea for you, as it says 2.5 instead of the 2.25 OBX exhaust. You might get 2-3hp more hp at 7200rpm, and every little bit helps.

first off there is nothing wrong with that muffler, looks just about the same as greddy, in fact it looks better than the greddy IMHO, also, the silencer on an canister like that will do its job very well, the exhaust note will be VERY deep and not like a honda, first off our cars will never sound like a honda bc we dont have tiny displacement 4 cyl's, and for that price that is a good exhaust system, fully stainless and good quality, what more can u ask for? and 2.25 inches on a cat back for our car is ridiculous, 2.5 to 2.75 is much more like it IMHO which is why most AM catbacks only give us like 5 - 7 HP at the max WITH other mods.... so please someone get this and shut all the rice rioters up! thanx

I would bet that it isn't. I agree with what you said...they seem to be on the ball with A32 and the 4-6hp estimate. The HP estimate impressed me as well as opposed to the usual BS you see on ebay.
I salute you if you go for this exhaust man. I dont have the guts to go for something that noone has had on their car to date. I hope it works out for you.

And again is that small pipe out the tip a silencer? you think its removable?

That exhaust does look of high quality, but the muffler is what will turn most people against it. Hopefully the silencer is functional to the point where the car actually sounds good and not like a honduh. Hopefully the silencer is removeable. Hopefully it sounds good without the silencer. Hopefully it fits perfectly. Also the name of the company seems to reserve the exhaust to all of you that have named your maxima Megan. When someone gets it and starts telling me answers to my Hopefullys ill decide whether or not its worth buying and etching Mugen insteand of Megan on it.

yep.
canister type muffler sucks for sound deadening. thats for sure though. the silencer HAS to be removable. thatd be some dumb *!@$& if it wasnt.
as for the MEGAN...they have a LOT of dumb names for some of the more obscure japanese tuner companies overseas. (example: ****. yes, ****)
it says Megan or Stillen i don't care. neither sounds as good as NISMO.
i just might go for this crapback too

Well being the type of person that I am, and being in great need of a cat-back, I just placed my order with Megan racing today for this exhaust. The people I talked to seemed very knowledgable and helpful. and I couldn't beat that price for a 2.5" mandrel bent, all stainless exhaust. I will let all of you know how it sounds early next week.

Just spoke to the company I ordered my OBX from. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow and ship out to me tomorrow or friday. If it indeed arrives tomorrow then I'm sticking with the OBX. If not I'm cancelling and taking a chance on the Megan Racing.

BTW there are alot of japanese tuner companies with weird names, not sure if this is one of them or not, but names such as Bride, Trust, Bee*Racing, etc.
