I got one from Ebay for $60 and sold it after I got bored of it.

It was fun for a while, comparing 0-60mph times with friends.
The 1/4 mile I heard is probably about .2 seconds off a typical track time, plus it does not average the last 60 ft for your trap speed so that can vary too.

Its a good tool to compare cars. If you run cars at the same flat surface. You get an idea of how two cars compare. It will give you a ballpark of the 1/4 time you will run. The flatter the surface the more accurate it gets. It's going to be tough finding a perfectly flat piece of 1/4 mile though. I still consider it a toy.
