Muffler Poll...

Hey guys...I may need to get a muffler in the near future. I got a look at the OEM one on my car last week when it was up on the hoist getting the tranny fluid changed...it's good for a little while longer, but I figured I should start doing my research now so I'm ready to go when she blows.

What muffler's do you guys currently have? And, I know it's hard, can you describe the sound? Sound clips would be awesome if you have them.

I'm looking for something that's not too loud or raspy. Just a little noise, bit of a deep bassy tone and perhaps a little aggressive when you really push the throttle. I hope that makes sense.

This isn't really a poll. Forget the muffler, get a full cat back.

Tesudo, check my sig for a pick.

It sounds like a 3000GT, not to aggresive but very smooth. I can't tell you what model it is.

vside: Money's an issue right now, or I would totally agree with you. I've also been told that a better y-pipe would make a world of difference in sound and performance so I'm considering that for a future project as well.

Reeper: Is that the chrome tip that came with it as well? Looks good.

That is a nice looking tip... very conservative. What is the inlet pipe diameter and what is the diameter of the tip? ... and what is the brandname/model of the muffler?

160 or 170 will get you a y pipe from budget. Thats could be around what you would spend for a muffler.
