Hey, I just installed a new Alpine CVA-1005 in my car and wanted to hook up a computer to it. I know there are a few people on this board that have one in their Maxima and I was wondering if anyone could help steer me in the right direction. For the people that have a computer in their car can you view the windows display on the TV headunit? and what components do I need to power convert, mouse, keyboard...etc. I reallly don't know where to start and would appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance.

Check out my maxima computer site in my sig... it'll steer you in the right direction. As for showing windows on your tv, I just recently installed a TV and will be posting pictures and writeup on my webpage and here in the next week. What you need to display it on the TV is a video card that has TV-OUT. Most high end cards have it but the cheapest card that offers it is the ATI Xpert @Play98. I bought it for $50 and it works great.

You can also get a separate TV tuner card, but i doubt it wou;d be cheaper than $50.

I use my computer for MP3's / navigation. It's really really nice to be able to have 3000+ songs at your fingertips and never have to buy another cd again. =)

Do you have that remote sh*t so you can be within a certain range of the computer in your house and transfer the songs from your house to your car without changing any disks or loading anything?
