I have decided to either build my transmission or swap it out. I have been informed that the reason for my lack of 1-2 has been because of a bearing failure. I'm sure someone has had this fixed by rebuilding the transmission. How much did it cost?

I may have also found an i30 5 speed wrecked near me. I knwo people have swapped these transmissions before as well, but where do i find info on it? What else different will need to be used besides the cv shafts? Please get back to me as i need to do something ASAP.

If the trans has VLSD, I think you will need to replace your axles.

 

Good deal-vlsd and non-abs axles it is.
one more thing-If this i30 isn't manual, anyone else know where i could find this transmission? Did all the i30 manuals come vlsd?
Any other tips?

All I30 manuals did not come with vlsd. The t models definitely have vlsd though.

My transmission issue

Could it be something else? I have pretty much decided, unless shown differently, that i have had the blessing of maxima bearing failure.

 

I have found a locking diff manual for 1050 shipped-is this not a good deal? THe transmission has 58k and a 6 month warranty... Let me know what you think.
