How much HP from high-flow cat?

I am thinking of buying a high-flow cat, i currently have a y-pipe and i am wondering how much hp it would give me and if my exhaust would be any louder.

It wont make it any louder and there will be no gains you can feel. Maybe 2-3 hp if that.

Do not waste your money, you will get no gains from it.

What is the diameter of the stock cat? if you put in a budget y and b pipe with a 2.5 in diameter muffler wont the stock cat restrict this because all of your exhaust will be 2.5 in and your cat wont? just curious.

so with a full exhuast setup, Y, B-no resonator, the high flow cat will only yield 2-3hp and NOT change the tone?! Anyone have actual experience with these mentioned mods, or are you just going by here-say?! Im getting the B-pipe, and was also thinking of the cat.

So...you're saying dont upgrade your cat, even if you upgrade the rest of your exhaust system? Wouldn't it help increase airflow? HP gains may not be that much, but freeing up the airflow is pretty good.

The upgrade is not worth it. I went to an RT CAT even though my stock one was fine. If I did it again, I would simply wait until my stock cat got clogged and died, then replace it with an aftermarket CAT.

If you are looking to get a catalytic converter, a good list of them, prices, and other performance parts is here:

Your car will have no power, but that could be the symptom for alot of things. Then you check your tailpipe while someone revs the motor feel how the flow is. Lastly, just take the CAT off and check it.

Just stay away from Random Technology cats. Why? If you gave someone about $180 to tell you your car is a little faster and after about 15K miles they slapped the **** out of you and laughed, it would be about the same experience.
