Springs 1997 SE That Will Settle @ 1" Lower Than Stock

Does Anyone Know Of Springs For 1997 Maxima SE That After Installed Will Settle to No More Than An Inch Lower Than Stock. I really Am Looking For The Performance In Lowering The Car But Not Really Trying To Lose The Smoothness Of The Drive.

Holla Back! Or E-mail Me!

Any aftermarket lowering spring will ride harder then your stock setup.

Your smoothest lowered ride, if you have good roads, is probably the following setup:

H&R springs (~1.5" drop) Tokico Blue front struts and KYB GR2 rear shocks.

I would caution against using Tokicos with any lowering springs. I don't know where people got the idea that the fronts are more useful than the rears.

However, please do not expect to maintain any sort of "smooth" ride when lowering. I strongly suggest finding some lowered Maximas to ride/drive before making your final decision. Pay attention to the overall harshness, the impact harshness and any bouncing on rebound.

Weak rebound damping will make your car feel loose or uncontrolled (bouncy), but impact harshness is much more tolerable (just rough).
