can't get it up

It's Friday afternoon, we needed a comical subject line.

On cold mornings(~30 or colder) my antenna stops about halfway up, can I just lube it up or is there a bigger problem with it? I wiped it down one time b/c it was so nasty/greasy, maybe that's the problem. Not a huge deal, but it sure does suck trying to listen to the AM when it's only half up...or down, depending on your frame of reference.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think this post made my day!

as far as what to do? your antenna is not getting the proper mtivation it needs, try to put a penthouse in the trunk, and if that doesn't help.. check the wiring maybe it isn't grounded or there's a bad connection the motor may be dying or the antenna is bent.

even though you can't get it up, it's not the end of the world yet, replace it and you'll be as good as new. then you can get it up as much as you want.

When you rub it down with lube, try to rub it fast in a up and down motion... Make sure you lube it up reaaaal good, maybe even show the antenna a few pictures a XM radio and maybe that'll get it going..

Here are my suggestions.
1)have your girl sit on the trunk of ur max

2)Forget the valvoline grease, get some KY Jelly and apply it in a gentle motion tyring not to dammage the gentle object.

3)Toss out those pent house tapes, throw on that vid of the maxima spanking the v8 camaro.(ooohhhhh yeeeeaaahhh)

4)Show your car some pics of the 04 maxima(ooooh look at that phat @ss)

well thats all i can think of for now...

just remember its not the size of the antenna, it the quality of the reception

Your Problem is that it's COLD? c'mon, What happens to YOU when it gets cold, hmmm? It seems to me that your antenna has a "shrinkage problem"
My suggestion is that you Rub briskly with both hands to warm him up! and god knows that a lil motivation will help...i found my antenna performed MUCH better after I taped that picture of Anna Kournikova to my rear windshield...

Dr. MAX says:
These are the steps to fix your "problems"

1) Consult your local mechanic. (If nessesary he can provide the nessesary rubbing compound.)

2) Try driving around in a city and see if you can find something your antenna might like. (examples like were posted from above like penthouse, xm sat. radio, victoria secret billboard, ect.)

3) Go to the autoparts store and buy an antenna cover (preferably female) and then apply with lube as suggested before.)

Note: If none of this works consult your mechanic. You may just have a gay antenna. (I wouldn't recomend fixing this. I'd just go get a straight antenna off of ebay, or courtesy.)
