This site gives a very in depth explanation of how the fuel system works in a newer car. It starts by explaining how and why fuel and air mixture is crucial and what factors affect performance, mileage, starting, smooth idling, and more. Since the max is SO fuel tempermental I think this is a MUST read for anyone who tweaks, tunes, or fixes their own MAX!

I agree that this is a must-read: I see a lot of questions relating to fuel system problems here. And I also agree that the Maxima has a tempermental fuel delivery and feedback system.
