Diagnosis needed

My max makes a sound as I move with the wheel turned. It's not a suspension clunk or a cv joint noise. More like there's something up w/the wheel. A swish swish noise. But only when I'm turning at a moderate speed. Any ideas?

Ummmm....yeah...not a cv joint.
Just got 'em both done. But thanks for not reading my post
The noise is intermittent and happens at the same speed the wheel is turning. I know it's somewhere in there but...

Swish swish is kind of like metal lightly rubbing together.

I THINK I know what you're talking about. When cornering at a moderate speed with your foot partially pressed on the brake pedal, you hear this odd rubbing sound? Yeah, never found out what that was on my old 96 gxe...even after replacing tires, brakes, etc. Oh well, no problems on my 97 se

Good luck in finding the source...

Brake dust shields

From what I've heard it is common to get a metal rubbing noise after working with the car. The plates that dust shields on the brakes tend to bend easily. One of them is probably rubbing against your wheel.
