Will a 2K+ climate control unit fit and work in a 99SE-L??

I have the digital climate control in my car but it's messed up, I'm thinking if one from the 2K models might work??

It may work, but realize that the 2K is a 5th generation Max. It would be better to find a 4th gen. I would hold on and keep looking. I found one at a junk yard (but I don't have climate control) when I was looking for something else.
