Log from ODBII Logger
I thought some may be interested in this log. You can see when I got on to the on-ramp and floored it. =) 98% load at 2925rpm then 100%.. =)

Interesting, I can't believe how much the timing moves around.
2537.5RPM 11% 0Deg 104Deg F 125.35
2212.5RPM 14% 20Deg 102.Deg F 126.772
From 0 to 20 deg with just a slight increase in load and a small drop in RPMs. Very Interesting

Same one Jime uses. My friend actually owns it. I was going to buy it myself but he got it as soon as I showed it to him. So I get to use it for free.. ![Wink](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I have an automatic so there is a lot going on there. Thats not the whole log. There was a portion of the log where you can see me getting off the highway. I hit the brakes and stepped on the gas again. The car was probably in 4th gear, the RPMs were very low but the load was very high. I'd like someone to explain the timing also. =) Intake temps drop as speed increases. The intake temps were highest when we first hooked up the logger and turned on the car. My car was hot from a previous drive. Intake temps stayed under 100 degrees during normal driving. Lowest intake temp was 87 degrees coasting off the highway after the WOT run. Intake temps then rose to 120 degrees while waiting at the light after the off-ramp.

Make sure you check the hyper mode so it logs more frequently and the main thing I watch is that the timing doesn't pull back at the higher RPM range, thats a good indication that your knock sensor is detecting detonation and pulling it back.
I am still trying to get the hang of a lot of it. Just need more practice.

Good point, and from the looks of things, it is pulling his timing back. Looks like it pulled back during the shift, advanced then pulled back again. He's got 5487 @24Deg, then 5475 shows only 16Deg. I'm thinking that KS might be working, doing what it's supposed to do. Now the trick would be to use the right gas to make that stop happening.

I think we took those readings about an hour after I replaced my knock sensor. I didn't reset the ECU so that could be an issue.
Does this indicate some knock? Went from 26 to 24 to 20 at 6000rpm. I always use 93 or 94 octane gas.

Post up some of your runs. I'd like to see what your logs look like under nitrous and off also. Which fields do you usually select for logging?

The timing pull back may or may not be a ping issue. It might be mapped that way.

By looking at how drastically it changes, I would think you'd feel that in power as well. So my next question is do you feel the car surge or hold back at times?

Before I changed the knock sensor I felt a loss of low end. I use Mobil gas usually. There may have been Sunoco Ultra 94 in the tank at the time. I usually use Mobil gas though. Should be the same stuff as Exxon. Right now the car pulls strong in the high end cuz of the VI I recently installed. I'm waiting to see Jime's logs since he has a auto 97 also. Maybe that's how its mapped and the JWT/GForce ECUs fix that. I'm still waiting on my JWT ECU. On week four now. =( Not that it really matters, I have yet to successfully take my stock ECU out. =P

that pinged loud on everything but Exxon gas.

It just doesn't look right to me.

Usually coolant temp, timing, air flow, rpm but still looking for the combo that will give what I can use the most.

I'd like to compare our readings. I'll setup coolant next time. It would be good to know if our cooling systems are working properly.
