Question about Frankencar setup with different filters?

I finally deceided to go with Frankencar and then I come across a post about how the apex filter has had problems. For all I knew it looked like a great filter, but now im not so sure. I have a JWT popcharger on the car now, and have been happy with it. How or can you just buy the Frankencar and pick out your own filter to put on it? Are all filters compatible, if so I will try the frankencar and go with a JWT , unless there are some higher recommendations with a frankencar setup. thanks

Frankencar connects before the MAF. Whatever you connect after the MAF is your choice.

Re: so

Yes you can go with the popcharger. Thats a lot of money new though. I would wait and try to buy a used popcharger from someone on the board when they switch to a CAI.

I would just buy the midpipe from Frankencar for $70 and keep the JWT popcharger that you have now and use that.

You can also find mid-pipes on ebay for around $40 or you can make one from scratch using 3'' Diameter exhaust piping. There is another post in this forum regarding the mid-pipe where there is the site that you can go to that has directions on the DIY mid-pipe.
