Going to order a Y-Pipe, but need some help first.
Ok I'm finnaly going to do it i'm going to order a y-pipe. I'm going to go with the budget Y it seems thats the one everybody suggest. But I need to know a few things first like, where it is a Canadian company the price on their web site is $250.00, is that US or Canada dollars (if canadian about how much is it in us?), also the have two different ones, one is just the regular and one is a california spec how do i know wich one i need? And finnaly is there any major things I will need to do when I put this on.
Thanks Mike
Thanks Mike
250 in canadian dollars. to convert to us... simply goto your website, i'm sure it'll have a rate converter.
I think it's like 160$ USD? shipped...
someone else could tell you how to check if your car is cali spec or not... i dunno how
mine was regular...
You won't have to change anything once it's on. simply drive
the ecu will adapt to it... you can reset the ecu if you choose though... sup to you. I never bothered. I noticed the diff right away.

currency exchange changes every day mine was 170 shiped and my friends was like 167 so call and they should tell you
as for cali or fed spec..judging by your profil you have a 95 so a regular y pipe will do yo as Cali specs should be for 99 max's that were made in California
another way to make sure is in front of the engine were it says Nissan on the spark plug cover you should see some connectors.. if there are 4 there its a cali spec if there are only 2 then your a fed spec.. most sure that you are fed spec

go to custommaxima.com and select 99 as the year of your car, then go to the performance parts then cattman y pipe and there is a diagram of what geophrum is talking about. i believe that he is right that the cali spec was only for 99's but better safe than sorry.
mine was 170 shipped.
as for putting it on: have a jack and 2 jack stands to jack the front of the car up, go buy some liquid wrench to get the bolts loose(8 i think), have a good wrench set(metric)with an extension and a breaker bar. also to make your life much easier have a pivot attachment, there are some rough angles to get at some of the bolts. a friend to help might be nice, hard to hold up the pipes by yourself
hope this helps
good luck

Do you really need an Oxygen Sensor socket or can you do without it?
