ECU Codes 807,903,704
ECU Codes 807,903,704
I have a 1996 maxima SE with 112000 miles. A few days ago my check engine light came on. After accessing the ECU I got the following codes:
807 EVAP canister purge control valve/Solenoid valve circuit
903 EVAP canister vent control valve circuit
704 EVAP control system pressure sensor
Has anyone ever had this problem? I’m hoping that just one of the above mentioned items is the problem and not all. Any help would be appreciated.

i had the first two codes on my car at 93K miles. I replaced the Vent control vavle ($71) and it fixed it. If you dont wanna spend that money before being 100% sure. Someone had suggested that cleaning the vent control vavle fixes the problem too...search the treads!
Hey... I got the codes, checked the threads, cleaned the valve, and posted here describing how I did it.
It fixed it... for a while. After a couple months, the valve rusted up again. Guess a trip to the stealership is in order... save your time; don't bother trying to clean the valve.
Oddly, my gas milage seems to have improved since I've been drivign around w/ my valve open.

Just adding my $0.02 to an old post in case someone finds this useful.

I had 807 and 903. I tested both the purge vent solenoid (attached to the evap can) and the evap canister purge control solenoid valve but both operated correctly (air passed through correctly).
Use a large screwdriver the gently encourage the very snug hoses off. Be, relatively, gentle and patient -- they will come off. Work from all sides as needed. Move hoses/parts aside (the easy ones to move) as needed to get better access.
903 was fixed by replacing the purge vent solenoid and the evap can (plus adding breather per TSB). The solenoid would have probably been enough but it was stuck to the evap can so both had to be replaced.
807 was fixed by replacing the evap canister purge control solenoid valve.
Again both tested fine so it was intermittant. Both parts were expensive but did fix the problem. I would find it unlikely that the hoses were bad unless someone broke it while doing other work. The hoses were in good shape.
The dealer said both parts commonly fail. Also these parts have various names when comparing the service manual, parts diagrams, etc. Make sure you are going to get the right part since I ended up getting the wrong part three times between the two.
