high pitch squeaking sound
Heres the deal....every morning when i start my car, i get this high pitch squeaking sound that lasts until my car has warmed up (5-10 min) then it goes away. I noticed that there are two belts and i changed the larger one and it still squeaks. could it be a pully squeaking like this? would the pully stop squeaking after it warmed up though? or could it be the other belt that expands when it warms and stops making noise?

I dont want to be the bearer of bad news but this sounds like an alternator problem. Maybe it doesn't work as hard after 10 min and then you don't hear it. This used to happen to me in my 3rd gen till finally it went and I had to get a new alternator.

try tightening the belts. Right next to the relay box near the windsheild washer fluid resevior tank is located, you will notice one of the speakers to your horn. Right near that speaker (car facing you to the right) there is a big hex bolt sticking up. Use a 14mm rachet and tighten clockwise about 3/4 of a turn. Does the help at all?? did you notice a decrease in noise?? if yes then turn a little bit again..dont over do it or you will snap your belts.
