99 Maxima ECU

99 Maxima ECU
What's the easiest, cheapest way to get at the codes it's throwing off? Apparently my ECU is new enough that the old "screwdriver trick" doesn't work (there is no screw on the outside of tbe ECU, though there is a slightly different sticker covering two of the holes.

Oddly enough (maybe I'm too big or something) The angle to reach the ECU is EXTREMELY ODD. I have NO IDEA how the guy who did the write-up about the ECU check reached his. Mine is mounted as close to the firewall as possible, making it hard to get to. The accelerator pedal is right in front of the hole.
Question: Your sticker (in a 99 Max) should look different than that in the ('95 I think) referred to in the write-up. I know mine does. My sticker says "IDLESPEED ADJUST" where the sticker photographed in the '95 write-up says "Self-Diagnosis" The same opening is labeled "High" and "Low" with arrows indicating a calibration can be made using turning a screw clockwise and counter-clockwise. How deep do you have to get a screwdriver into this hole, and do all of your stickers covering your holes look the same as mine?
I've stuck screwdriver blades between 1/2 and 1.5 inches inside to no avail (it hit nothing)...

I have the same ecu. Yes its possible to obtain the the codes.
The small plastic screw is located downward and to the left of the opening. You must use a small phillips screwdriver (the type for eyeglasses) and angle it to reach the screw. I pressed down on the accelerator to give me a little more room. Be gentle in turning the screw back and forth. It was tough to do the first time but keep trying, you'll get to it.

Thanks yet again, all.......
Because I'm betting even money my gas mileage problems are due to ks and or O2 sensor....
Pay Howard University $1500, or get upgrades for Max?
