95-96 MAF vs 97-99 MAF

Question for you MAF gurus...

I noticed that the Hot Wire arrangement is different somewhat but do they interchange?

Thanks

I have a 99 MAF on my 96 right now and the car runs great. Cant really answer your question directly, but I hope that helps.

Well I just found out the 95 and 97 are different... hotwire design, etc and the harness is different. 95 had 4 pin and 97 3 pin.

***edit - apparently they should be the same... see below***

I guess I'll save my ported one for future track or dyno days:

Now I have my smooth idle again

Well.... I have a 96 MAF in my 98 and it runs fine?

No idea why they would be different?
