I have a question on where to place my amp for my front speakers. I just got the Fosgate 250a2 amp which powers the 12" Kenwood sub in the trunk. I want to power my front Pioneer components with the old amp, but I do not want to run the amp from the trunk, I would have to buy another 8'(at least)of rca to the trunk and you all know the rest of the proceedure. Where should I mount the amp, under the seat? Can't think of anywhere else it would fit. Thanks.

Doug, did your mom drop you on your head when you were a kid, I'm sensing some hostility towards me, don't like it!
Why is my new amp garbage, is that because you have the old one? Was just looking for input, not a response from an arsehole.

spend the money you cheap bastard.. get you some zero noise and run it to the trunk... it ain't that much money for good sound $100 for wire.. jeez.. cheapskate

other wise shove it under your seat.. just bear in mind it probably is going to run hotter faster and probably shut down.. and FYI if you don't have the old Fosgate.. its garbage ..

No prob, just was wondering on the advantages/disadvantages of the underseat thing. I have been hovering around this board for about 6 months or so, just never got around to signing up, and i'm not one for posting useless threads to make my status improve, but that's just me. I'll see you around and am sure your advice will come in handy. Latta.

bro bro. .. bro.. read my second post .. sorry if i offended you... no i have 2 Kicker Amps in my car.. Rockford and Soundstream and even PPI are not as good as they were in teh past.. they are starting to commercialize and with this they started to do quantity not quality.. one thing the old ones have that my kicker amp is.. non regulated power supply.. which means .. my kicker will drain my battery no matter what which means the amp is always at peak performance and will not clip.. hopefully... and kicker underates which rockford use to do.. sorry again for offending you dude.. you will find out i am one of the most helpful people here.. in time you will see..

This thread should be linked to the other thread about lousy heated seats! At least the seats will warm up alot quicker than the Beemers'!

There are pros and cons to under seat mounting

The cons are they get hot faster, and they will get kicked around alot. Depending on how much you value your amp, it might be better to get more RCA's. BTW, Radio Shack makes a good cable that is thicker than the cheap stuff, and it's inexpensive. I use it when someone doesn't have a lot to spend on cables.
