STS questions
I just bought a pacesetter sts off of a guy who was using it in his 5th gen maxima. I received it, minus the allen wrench to adjust it or the instructions, he left it assemled, but i was looking at pictures of it assembled on the pacesetter site and the rubber piece that looks like a dust boot, seems to be in the wrong place. the piece isn't damaged, so would it be better to move it, or leave it where it is when i install it? the boot is on the bottom of the shifter instead of right above the adjustment ball. How does the adjustment work, the further up the shaft the shorter the throw, or is it vice versa?
the picture that i was talking about

It's the 10th picture in that page where it shows the boot on the shaft of the sts.
