Busted Hoodstruts

whats up w/ these hood struts? theres 2 of them, atleast 1 should work. help

replace them,,auot zone $ 19 a piece....one good one does not do the trick.

I wish someone would get clacked on the head, bleed a little, then sue Nissan, so they would recall and replace all our defective hood struts. Anyone here hard headed?

visegrip is my weapon of choice.
OE ones suck.
I got new ones from Advanced Auto Parts and they worked for like 2 weeks.
That's when I said screw it and just clamp the strut with visegrip everytime I raise the hood.

Do the ones @ auto zone werk? are they specific to tha maxima or just generic hydraulic pumps?

They are generic, but Ive had them on my car for almost 2 years now. They are great.

Got mine at Napa. But they were $28/ea, but with a lifetime warranty.

all u need to do is bend them a little and they will stay in the up position reagardless of how old they are.
