97-99 grille removal

97-99 grille removal

lol i know someone just said how to do the 95-96...but i tried n i cant get the clips out on the sides...anyone? thanks!

yea....from the outside of hte car, right where u see the clips, take a screw driver and push the clip toward left (for the right clip) and right (for the left clip) and pull. It shud come right out like mine did

careful you dont break them though, they could be fragile..

I just pull it out. It doesn't come easy, it isn't supposed to. I just grab both corners and pull. It goes back in much easier than taking it out. You just need to make sure everything lines up in the center of the grill and the beam in front of the radiator.

I just happen to have a pic from when I removed my grill to make my mesh grill.



You'll see that there are two "flanged" pieces that sit in front of the rad. They each have a single hole in it. The grill has studs on the bottom that slot into those holes. I actually found replacing the grill harder than removing it.
