fuse(brighter corners)

I just made my corner lights brighter by cutting off the upper nub of the bulb. I went out and bought 10A fuses and i don't know where the location is. Is it the one near the battery ? can anyone help me on this one?

why are you changing it to a 10A fuse? did it blow? If not, why would u want to change the fuse?

The only thing u need to worry about are those overheating bulbs eventually making a "bubble" shape on you plastic lens corners.

The fuse is located inside the cabin, underneath the steering wheel on ure left. I think it's the one marked w/ the Taillamps.

I am chaning the fuse because the bulb will be running more power. It's suggested that the fuse is changed so that it can handle more wattage that's being run through. It uses the same fuse as the taillight and if the 7a fuse gives up, then your taillights will be out. i don't wanna get pulled over for something like that.. it didn't blow yet. i had it for two weeks now. I figure it's not hard so i'll just take 5 mins to do this.

Do you know any1 that got a "bubble" due to the heat?
By the way, Are those Projectors i see on that black max? i have a 99se and i was wondering how you did that.

don't change it if hasn't blown. That's not how a fuse works anyways... it's a safety device that only cuts the power off if there's a power surge or the Amps are too high. Wattage doesn't matter in your case, the only damage that would do is over heat the bulbs.

I have seen pictures before on here w/ people who have had bubbles formed or some sort of damage (even minor) done to their plastic lens because of the mod. Since I don't see people complaining about it much, I guess it is ok, as long as you don't do alot of night driving.

As for the projectors... i guess the picture only looks like that, but I can only wish to have em

what safe side?!??!! while you're at it, change all the other fuses then too.

putting in a higher fuse = NOT SAFE

and i told you, the fuse you are looking for is INSIDE the car, underneath the steering wheel marked taillights.

hey, i blew the fuse to my rewired corners once. it was while i was driving for quite a while at night. at any rate, it' sa 7.5 amp mini fuse btw. i replaced it with that, and i haven't had any problems.

Replace your fuses with higher amperage ones... the bulb will not burn brighter, but your wireing harness might!

car-wise, you're stupid. most people that are stupid compensate by listening to others, maybe you should give that a try.

you DO NOT have to "upsize" the fuse UNLESS it blows!!

I did this mod some time ago and i've had ZERO problems.

What if you actually get brighter aftermarket corner bulbs?

Don't ask for advice if you are not planning on listening to it. I am not sure why you have such a hard on for changing a fuse anyhow...

it doesn't matter, it will be the same... only difference will be the wattage and the wires tend to burn hotter and could possibly melt.
