headlight removal

I'm sure this has already been posted by someone before, but since we cant search...i have no way of knowing.. but anyways, I blew a headlight last night (it exploded), so there's a lot of crap in the headlight fixture. I need to get it out. I have a '99 so I have the clear headlights, can anyone point me to a page telling me how to get the headlight off, or can someone explain (preferrably with pics) how to get it off?

there is 1 nut(think its a 10) that hold the corner lense. take that off. then u have to pll off the corner(clearance piece) after u remove that you will find another nut or 2 that holds the headligt housing. take those off, remove the clips. then i think you should be able to take off the housing. look for a thread called AE headight. there is a write on that with directions to take off your headlihgts. i cant remember everything, but you shold be able to figure it out from where i left off.

My max had a blown headlight when I bought it. I couldn't figure out how to get the headlight out, so I managed to clean it still mounted. I used a shop vac with a 1/2" plastic hose stuck in it to get the glass out. Then I used a windex-soaked rag wired onto a coat hanger to clean out the residue. Taking it out and apart would have worked better, but this took far less time, I think.

did it look as good as the other light when you got done? because if getting the light fixture out gives me a lot of trouble, I'm trying that!

its not that hard, just take your time, its two screws behind the cornering light, as well as two bolts behind the housing. And if you want to take the lens out, take off the metal clips (5 of them) and then put the headlight in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 min, and them using the widest and thinnest flat screwdriver you have try to pry the lens open, if its not moving put it back in the oven.
