The one autometer makes for the maxima's (2 gauge for the a-pillar)...is it 2 1/16" or 2 5/8"s (57 or 60mm). All A'pexi gauges are 60mm so I wanted to know if they would fit my gauge pod. Thanks

You will need to grind the hole on the gauge pod a little to the APEXi gauges will fit. The pod is 2-1/16".

Does Autometer make an A-pillar gauge holder specifically for the Maxima? I saw them at my speed shop for Mustangs, Chevys and Toyotas.

Autometer Part #: ATM-20802

Autometer makes them for the 4th Gen Maxima's. Part #ATM-20802. Summitracing.com has them for $19.95

Hmmmm....

One thing I forgot to ask...is it hard to hook up a boost gauge? While waiting to get my struts checked at the speed shop I looked at the Autometer catalogue and noticed that the boost gauge comes with a 6ft hose. I'd like to hook it up to my supercharger but I'm wondering if it comes with instructions? Also how do you run it through the firewall?

I ran the wires through the hole where the hood release cable passes through. You will have to take the back part of the front drivers side plastic fender liner loose to access the hole.

The boost gauge should not be a problem to hook up. One of the SC guys could help you out as to where to tap in.

Does anyone have any pictures of the a-pillar guage that autometer sells for a 4th gen? Does this include 2 guages or do you have to buy them separetly? Thanks.

The pod is empty and you fill in the blanks. I
have a volt meter (not too exciting ;-) and a
oil pressure (kinda neat) in my dual pod. Just
finished painting it beige to match the rest of the car.
Actually came out fairly good.

Some day I'll take pictures and post them.

How much did you pay for the volt meter and the oil pressure meter and what company are they made by? Your setup sound pretty neat.

Nice EGT...

I love A'Pexi gauges. Can I put 2 A'pexi gauges on the autometer a-pillar pod? It seems that 2 A'Pexi gauges will not fit that dual 2 1/16" pod. Anyway, I'm looking into getting other gauges mounted on top of the steering column, does autometer make one for such an application? Thanks all

You should be able to mount 2 APEXI Gauges in the pod. It will just take a little creativity and customization.

Thanks for the info...about mounting additional gauges...what's a good place besides the stereo DIN area (mine is in use). I'm planning on EGT and boost gauge on the A-Pillar, Oil Pressure and tranny temp somewhere else. Any suggestions?

Since I have the non-Bose stereo I have a little shelf with the door hinged on the bottom. What I'd like to do is stick my boost and fuel pressure gauges in there and have the door cover it up when I dont' need to look at them. Do they make gauges that small? Also what does DIN mean? I've seen that term posted here but I don't know what that is. Thanks!
