Timing chain, a sigh of relief.

A big thank you to everyone who posted the relief message that the 95 Maximas have timing chains istead of a belt.
SomehowI was under the impression that 95 models still had a belt. I myself drive an old 86 Caprice Classic and a 76 F250 Ford.My new wife has the 95 Max. I recently cleaned the end of the throttle body and butterfly and cured the idle problem that some of you have expereinced, also installed the Bosch platinum plugs and new fuel and air filter. Purchased a Haynes repair manual from Advance Auto today for $14.09. I may go for the the 5 speed tranny fluid change soon. This is a great site. It is kind of like the Intruder Alert site for Suzuki Intruder motorcyle owners that I post on also. Thanks again!!!

I know how painful it is to work on those timing belts, especially on a V6. I had a 84 300ZX and it took me 5 hours to get the timing belt replaced. It only took me about 3 hours for my wife's Civic though. That's one of the main reasons I wanted to make sure I buy gen4 Maximas instead of gen3.
