Auto Transmission Fluid/cooler...Quick feedback needed

Hey guys, I just realised i have 120 000 kms on the car and i'm not quite sure if the auto tranny fluid has ever been replaced. I don't have my owners guide anymore so I'm just wondering what brand of auto tranny fluid is good and how much does my maxima take, i have a 98 GXE. Thanks guys, also should i bother having the garage install a transmission cooler? Thanks guy, your feedback IS appreciated..

Transmission Coolers can help, but unless you are going through many shifts, climbing hills, or otherwise straining your Max, the most it will do for you is extend the life of the fluid by a few thousand miles. However, changing the fluids often is recommended, no matter what you do, mostly because of the properties of lubricants and the adverse effects that occur inside your vehicle. Toxins build up and begin to break down the fluids. Even synthetic fluids experience chemical effects from use and abuse. If you want better performance from your transmission, the best thing you can do is keep clean fluid in (by changing it at least every 30-50K miles) and have the filter/magnet changed (for filter) and cleaned.
Most synthetic transmission fluids are good, Redline being a favorite of many. Some say that after using synthetic you have to keep using it until the car dies. I am not sure of all the proclivities, but generally you should be o.k. with most synthetics.
Transaxle oil is Nissan Matic "D", or a Dextron III™ equivalent. Fill up to four quarts, then measure fluid. It will generally take between 4-4.25 quarts. Good luck.

I have been using the Mobil ATF. No issues here with it.
