Which Filter for Frankencar
Which Filter for Frankencar
I'm planning to get the frankencar intake but i'm not sure which filter to get with it. A black midpipe with the K&N filter is $147 the same midpipe with the Apex-i filter is $207. is it worth the $50 to go with the Apex-i?
intakes generally are about the same, the difference (if any) between the two different filters would be 1hp tops....
i personally prefer completely stainless steel intake filter...
cleaning intakes is a pain, but if its stainless steel just use a air gun and water.

I want to get this setup too, is it louder than other intakes or about the same, I am looking for an intake that doesn't require drilling and keeps quiet until you step hard on the gas, if possible.

I say get the K&N. the apexi is only good for 30k until you junk it

. I don't know if it was in my head but i had both on and felt it more with the apexi in. Anyway $70 every couple years isn't alot. I'm sure that even if you clean it the K&N just won't be the same as it was when it was new.
