I'm starting to mod my max and had a few questions for you guys. I already bought a K&N intake kit that works great, so I'm gonna start with the exhaust. Have any of you ever heard of warpspeed performance? There is a Y pipe on ebay by them, and the only people I've heard of for making Y pipes are Stillen and Cattmann. I'm also looking for an exhaust. I want loud, but not the bumble bee type that'll make my car sound like a weed eater on roids. I want to make it loud with a nice throaty sound. Then going to the ECU- Are there any companies that make ECU mods for a 97 SE? I know JWT makes killer ones for Nissans, but I havent heard anything with a maxima. And last is the short throw shifter. Any good brands? I bought a $20 one off ebay, and you get what u pay for. I don't want the shifter the stock length either. I want it and the throw both short.

Thats about all I got in the budget for now. Lemme know what u think.

 

Warpspeed makes VERY good Y pipes. I have one of theres and No problems at all with it. A Loud throty exhaust? Greddy! ECUS? JWT and Jet makes Chips also. Short Throw Shifters? Not sure, Im an auto

Yeah.. pretend he didn't mention the JET chip.. JWT does modify ECUs for maxima's however you will need to send them a 96 to reprogram.. It will work in your 97 just fine except for a couple of codes which you can ignore.
