Axxis metal master or Porterfields?

Which pad is better, how much do they cost, and where is the best place to buy them? I just went through a set of Porterfield R4 pads and had no problems but I saw that the metal masters are pretty cheap. Thanks.

I'm sure the Porterfield's are superior but they cost probably twice as much as the Axxis.

You went through a set of race pads? Well, you must drive the car pretty hard so I can't imagine any set of brake pads lasting too long on your car. I like my R4-S's as they don't seem to dust much and the grip is nice. I've never used anything else (other than stock).

I don't think metal master are hard on your rotors becuase they dust quite a bit. They also fade pretty bad... if you have the money I'd stay porterfield

I put MM on last week with new brembo blank rotors. I've noticed a bit of fade, like when you do a moderate stop for traffic from 50 to 20, then you speed up to 40 again and have to stop you'll feel the fade. Never had that problem with my old raybesto. But the MM grips pretty well when its cool

I meant I went through a set of R4-S's. Maybe I am crazy but my pads seam to dust like crazy. My wheels get nasty after a while. So anyone know where to buy them?

Well usually there are better places to buy these things than directly from the manufacturer. Anywhere cheaper or is that it?

Cheston had an ongoing group deal with them for awhile. I don't know if he still does or not, but I know you had to call them up and say that you wanted the maximadriver.com group deal pricing when you ordered them.

Try doing that.

I just called and ordered them and I got some kind of discount for belonging to a Maxima club. He wasn't at a computer so he didn't know exactly how much off I got but I will take anything.
