when im going into a stop i hear a whistleing noise on the drivers side tire..i stuck my head out and it sounds like its coming from my engine..dunno if its from my cold air intake or what..when i was parked i told my friend to press the gas a little and when he did u can hear the noise whistle and i know it wasnt the filter cause it was about above the tire where i could here it but inside the engine bay..it sounded louder when i was going about 15mph and pressing the brakes thats where i would hear it most....do u all think i have a leak in my ypipe or cai?...please help thanks

 

hmm, well i know an intake will whistle, only during low RPMs. However pressing your brakes would have no effect on your Ypipe or CAI. Just stand next to your hood while your car is idling, you should be able to hear a sucking of air in sound by your CAI, my bet its that, and your fine...

na its not that for shure my intake..um its when im braking i can hear the whistleing noise sometimes high pitch..or withougt pressing the brakes..hmm was wondering i think it might be where my o2 sensor was at in my CAI sincei took it out and put my nos thru it i think it might have fallen out i guess ill check tomorrow after work..

 

very odd, i cant see how it could be your o2 sensor...

well i mean not the o2 sensor sorry i mean where the whole was at on the cai pipe before the throttle..i think my nos injector fell out since i ddint put it on right for now..i think air is coming out of the whole..wat u think?

 

does anyone know if i should be able to hear this sucking sound from the intake while i am inside my car?? the sucking sound is a lot louder since i have added my mid pipe... thanks
