driver's mirror

I know this is probably not the right forum, but...
My driver's side mirror is shaky. I bought the car with it that way. Silly me, I missed that. But a mirror was the LAST thing I and my mechanic was looking 4. Bad thing though, is that it is a heated mirror. I don't know how much it costs to replace it. The thing is this: It's cracked inside(It must've been hit). I looked at it and it's the plastic that's cracked. I tried to put different kinds of glue on it but it's hard to do because I didn't know how to get the mirror out. Does anyone know how to access the internals OR pop the mirror out so I can put a STRONGER glue on the plastic? I'm afraid to fold the mirror in...thinking it might break off.

look underneath the mirror on the outside of the car, there are three screws there
then pop off the interior door piece (that lil triangle piece) you might have to remove the door panel to get to this piece, but underneath there are 3 more screws

go for it, where is it rattling from? maybe try to tighten all the screws and try that?

good luck

no luck. i looked but those screws are TIGHT. it appears that the plastic is cracked INSIDE. if i can't pop the mirror out, it looks like i have to replace the whole mirror.

I have a pair of mirrors for sale but not regular mirrors

PM me if you're interested, they are Cefiro mirrors for a 4th gen with custom fitted LEDs in them...

My driver side mirror is also cracked and shaky. The out shell broke from the inner frame. You can remove the mirror itself just by pulling and popping it out.
However you are better of just buying the mirrors for carnalc_30
ahhhh another potential customer!! ehehehe
