I have a 1995 Maxima with 104000 miles on it. The timeing chain makes a little noise when the car is first started. It does it only when the engine is cold, other wise it is quiet. The dealer says I need to have the timing tensioner and chain guide replaced. Cost of this task is rather prohibitive. Is this something that needs to be done or are they just pulling my leg??
