Right now, I do NOT like the remote window roll down feature
I just checked on my car in the parking lot. I haven't been to it in about 9 days. I noticed the front two windows were about 1/3 down and I thought that I must have JUST done that. I opened the car, and saw water in puddles on the front floor mats (rubber), in the window switches, and door handles. The seat bottoms were soaked. ARGH!! I must have hit the button while it was in my pocket and not even realized it while I was passing by the parking lot to class!! I haven't even been here since Friday, so that means they have been open all weekend, and if anyone in the northeast knows the weather, it was nothing but rain ALL memorial day weekend.
Does anyone have suggestions on preventing mold or anything bad that might come from stagnant water?

try renting one of those carpet steam cleaners. they usually have vaccuum-like suction and can get a lot of the water out of the seats and other areas. then, if you want, go ahead and steam clean the seats while you're at it. why not just steam clean the carpeting too. steam clean the entire interior! then, let it sit out in the nice hot sun for the rest of the day, and it should be fine. pour into the steam cleaning reservior one of those scented cleaners and it will smell nice

im so paranoid that if i drive by my car in someone else's i usually hit my car locked till the warning lights flash
actually my integra had cloth and got rained on real good one night...sunroof open and everything. it dried. i never did anything special for it either. i just left the windows open in my garage for about a day and it dried up. no mildew or anything. good luck.

Pick up some dri-z-air deals. Any home depot would have em. You'll need the little containers too. You'll get a package of that stuff that comes with your shoes that say "Do not eat". Btw... Don't eat that package! I know it looks very tempting but don't! Put that in your car when you leave it for the next week or two. It will collect the moisture in the air and put the water in the collecting container.
Oh ya Don't do that again knucklehead!

Dri-z-air? Sounds perfect! Ill do that and leave the car in the sun to help the moisture evaporate up into the air. I should probably leave all the windows/vents shut so it pulls moisture from inside the car only?

I'm going to wait until the summer and get the car detailed and the windows tinted at a place in Boston. They're supposed to be great. The place is Xtreme Clean at www.xtremecleancars.com
