Hey, I just bought a Naxos High Performance muffler. I was wondering how this muffler matches up against other one's such as APEX, GREDDY...etc. Can a muffler really improve performance that much? And has anyone had experience with the Naxos muffler? Thanks and I appreciate any responses.

Hey, thanks for the response, however, I already saw that thread and he wasn't happy because of the sound. I don't want a loud sound. I already spoke with him and he said that this muffler would be perfect for me. I am more interested in the performance upgrades and such. I would appreciate any other responses to my original questions. Thank you.

Alright sorry for the mixup. I have an Arospeed muffler and it's supposedly straight through but I didn't notice any obvious increase in performance. I doubt there would be with just a muffler. If you were to add a Ypipe and Bpipe i'm sure you'd get some benefit. But for the money I think I would just go to a muffler shop and get some straight pipes.

Okay, So straight pipes would make louder and faster??? I'm not really too concerned about performance I just wanted a little deeper sound but not much louder than stock. I really just want it to be a little louder at higher RPM's. I just wanted to know if this is possible with the Naxos muffler, and if there is a huge difference between a Naxos, Greddy, and Apex-i. Thanks again for your help, and I appreciate your response.

If you want something that will be loud when you step on it, you should consiter an intake. The Stillen and JWT intakes are death quiet normally, but scream like a Mustang at WOT whenever you get on the gas. I like the sound of mine. Nice deep throaty engine sound.
