It's just a known fact that when you put a stiffer than stock spring in, you need a stiffer than stock shock setting to dampen it.
does turning stiffness/rebound on the agx high make them wear out faster... i have maxspeeds with 1 cut coil all around.. rides great, i have it at 3/6..doesnt bouce around like civic with cut coils...i wanna turn agx up to 7 or 8 in back but scared it will beat up my schock faster..3 in front is perfect...

The big killer of shocks is bottoming out though.
I think every car is different and depending on the driver you should tune your AGX's to the correct setting for your car. There are a lot of factors like springs, weight of car/subwoofers, road conditions, driving style, etc. and i think that for you to really get the best setting you need to do a blind test. have a friend adjust your struts, but not tell you what the settings are, then drive it around then have your freind change the settings again not telling you what it is and so on until you find the best setting. that way your mind will not have any preconceived notions about how your car should handle at various settings. just my 2¢
I've been running 4/8 for a few months as well. I used to run 1/2 in the city with my B&Gs, but sometimes after autocrosses I don't change the settings. Mad Dhan has it right: "The lower the number, the better your car will handle at low speads. The higher the number the better(as well as smoother) your car will handle at higher speads."
Lately I drive a lot on the highway and the ride is great, so I'm sticking with 4/8. It gets a little bouncy on some residential roads where there are many small bumps that are close together.

Well I just try mine at 3/6 and I am not happy. My car is just too bouncy. this morning in may way to work I tried them and is was just no good. way tooo hard. Could it be because I just install my springs about 3 days ago and they haven't settle yet? whatever it is I think 2/4 rides much more smoother at low and high speed.
