Glove Box Lamp has no current

I know I know...waste of a thread but it is realy bothering me. I like to have everything in my car working but the blulb in my glove box does not work so I replaced it and still nothing so I tried stripping the two wires going to the bulb harness and making a direct ghetto connection to the pins of the 194 bulb from the wires trying both polarites with the glove box opened..nothing.. all other internal lights work. Internal lights fuse is good (obviously). Any other suggestions would make me happier than a fly on ****.
