Stupid auto tranny always in 3rd gear!!!!

My tranny in my 95 Maxima SE is really starting to **** me off, I go around a corner at 15 and come out of the corner and the stupid thing is in 3rd gear. This is under normal driving, not agressive, but I think this is terrible as it has no power until you put the pedal down and then it finally decides to downshift.
Does anybody know how to fix this, does the tranny need a flush????
Help

I forget exactly but I believe there is some mod that will alter the shifts to keep you in a decent gear for power, ie. it'll keep you out of 3rd doin 20. Someone probably knows what I'm talking about (hopefully)

why not just shift manually into and out of the gears at lower speeds...some people seem to find this fun, yet, if you're not driving aggressively, you could do this as it doesnt take up too much of your concentration.

Catman makes a chip that will do this for you. I usually just keep it in 2nd gear when traveling in busy inner city roads. If the roads are not that busy I'll throw it in D. Then O/D for the highway.

Bummer, manual shifting is all fine and sheit, but the car is so quiet I forget it in 2nd and drive around at 5000rpm without realizing it. They really should have had a sport button for the tranny, how much are these chips? What what about that tranny mod?

On another note, how many ghetto turbo maximas are there around?
