Autocross class for Maxima
#2
You'd probably want to be in the STS class. If your wheels are too wide, you might have to be in STX. (Wheels over 7.5" wide are not allowed in STS, but are in STX.) I run in STX, mainly since my wheels are 17x8, with 235/45 tires (I think 215 is the widest allowed in STS). The STS/STX classes are the Street Touring classes. If you really want to be in Street Prep, you'd be in DSP. Here's a handy link: http://mouton.best.vwh.net/sccasolo/. Also, check out the Autocross board here in the forums. Have fun, and keep the shiny side up!

225s are the widest in STS... at least they used to be. Maybe the rules have changed. Anyhow you don't want to run in DSP... you'll get your *** handed to you unless you are just a badass driver. Try to stay in STS, STX (at least in my area) is just too small a class, there are only like 3 cars in STX at every event.

Actually, I needed the classifications for the car to run a hillclimb. Looking at the class records, I can easily shatter the STS time and should be able to beat the DSP record by a few seconds. Two years ago, I set the fastest "daily driven" production based car ever up the hill in my VG30ET powered '70 Datsun 510. Time for another record or two before I get the V8 Z done to beat my record in the 510.

Because I had cross drilled rotors and 8" wide wheels, I had to run in OSP. I always got brutally annihilated by 400+ horsepower Z cars, Supras, assorted 2000 pound race cars, and everything else that was enormously faster than my car.
