What to do with my suspension?
I just got my hands on a set of Tokico shocks and H&R springs from Aaron, but I don't know if I want to lower the car. I do want a firmer, better handling car, but I don't want to lose the ride height. Have any of you installed just the Tokico Shocks and struts? How much better is this over the stock SE components?
Here is my reasoning:
I just put on the stillen front lip on my car and within 24 hours of my installation, I scrape a little bit on a driveway (how discouraging).
Last summer, I had an incident with a fairly large concrete block in Las Vegas. It is about the size of football and it screwed up my transmission, leaving me in first gear. The block would have clear a quarter inch left or right, but the stupid transmission hangs an inch too long and and inch thick below the crossmembers. $1K dollars and a week later, my car is back to normal.
My front lip serves to protect my car. It is now the lowest part of the car, so next time the block will eat my lip and not the transmission.
What should I do? I have considered getting taller tires and going with 17's.

If you want to keep the ride height, I think you should keep the original spring. The Tokico shock should firm up the ride a little better than stock shock. It is an improvement. Or you can go with Koni shock.
For better handling, front strut tower brace helps a lot on Maxima. Then Rear Sway bar to tighten up the rear end.
