Any suggestions on the best sounding/performing mufflers. I have a Budget y-pipe and b-pipe.

5th gen would be my pick....actually, it's about to be my pick when I replace my muffler(rusting through).

with a muffler, you prob won't get much performance gain at all. Looks and sound-wise, it is all personal taste. I just got a magnaflow SS muffler installed and I love it. It is not too loud and now my Max's @ss looks really nice.

Now, you might not be saying that it is not too loud if you had an intake, y and b pipe. I have those, so I say 5th gen. To each his own though.

Very true. I forgot that he mentioned those. I only have an intake so my intake is atually louder in higher rpms than my muffler. I'm gonna get a budget Y soon, so I guess it'll be a lil louder, huh?

If you get a b, make sure it's resonated....unless you want to set off every alarm around you!

Does the b-pipe have the same functions as the y?

^^ If by which you mean to improve exhaust flow, then yes.

Most aftermarket b-pipes remove the resonators... thats most of the reason why they give better performance.

I think magnaflow mufflers are the way to go. Im getting one in a few weeks, and I recommend them to all my friends.
