gas mileage with 225/50 and 215/55?

gas mileage with 225/50 and 215/55?

after i change my tires for a new 225/50(men my car feels good) i notice a little gas mileage drop?? anyone with this too? why?

No difference here. Though theoretically the gas milage should drop a little, but probably not enough to notice...plus since the tires are a smaller diameter and the speedo is not recalibrated the perceived gas milage should definitely not change...based on mathamatics alone.

I'm getting 29.5 mpg on hwy, ~75mph with A/C on, cruise on. Drove 1500 miles and mileage was consistant.
