I was thinking of getting tints soon. People have said that between 30% and 20% is good. I think anything lower than 20% would reduce vision a lot, esp. from the back window. Your best bet is to search the forums for "tint". You should get some good info that way.

well

front tint is illegal here in NJ but cops dont hastle you if its not to dark, i'm probably going to go 5% in the back and 20% in the front, or 20% in the back and 35% in the front. If tint is legal where you live you should match it with the back windows, but if not try and keep it light like 35%

What state are you located in??

I have 20% tint all around, and because I am 19, the police like to hassle me(Of Course). My girlfriend just had 50% done all around to her Subaru Impreza, and it looks really nice. Not too dark, not too light. A suggestion, wherever you go to have the tint done, tell them you want the rear window done in one-piece. It comes out so much better. A dark tint like 20% looks really sleek on a Max, but I think that 50% would look nice on it too.

Does anyone know what the legal limit is in Ontario, Canada, or where I can find out what it is?

Also how do they put on tint? Do they remove the window from the door and apply the tint then put the window back in? Or do they just apply the tint while the window is in the door.

Also how long does it take?

I have 20% all around and no probs yet from the NJ cops. (knock on woood) I think you should keep it the same all around it looks off if you have two different type of shades. I would go with 20 or 25 the best. not too dark and you can see at night too.
