3m Hand glaze

I was planning on waxing my car this weekend. I was gonna start out with a clay bar, then I was gonna use 3m hand glaze and finish it off with some mothers wax, but someone told me that 3m hand glaze is no good and that i should go with a polish. What do you guys think

3m hand glaze is excellent, but keep in mind that as a glaze, it will not remove swirl marks or any imperfections like a polish would. If you have minor scratches or swirls in your paint clean those up first with a swirl mark remover or polish depending on the situation and follow that with the 3m hand glaze.

I use the glaze and it looks very nice, but keep in mind what he said.

Thanks alot, I do have some swirlmarks and other imperfections in my paint. Haveing a black car it is hard to avoid. I am planning on using a claybar first, will that eliminate the imperfections? Or should I use a swirlmark remover also?
